How does KeenOut choose my group?
We match around real availability, social intent, interests, activity preferences, area, travel, language, reliability and previous group overlap. We wait if the mix is not strong enough.
When do I pay?
Joining the matching pool is free. Your first eligible confirmed meetup is A$0; future meetups are A$5 per person. We never charge or use your free meetup unless the group passes our quality threshold.
Can I come by myself?
Absolutely. Most people can join a pool on their own, and KeenOut forms the small group around people who are open to meeting someone new.
Can I bring a friend?
Yes. We keep you together as one social unit, but eligibility, payment, attendance and reliability are handled separately for each person.
What if a good group does not form?
You are not charged and any free entitlement stays available. We’ll say ‘Still finding the right group’ and wait rather than create a poor meetup.
Where do meetups happen?
Launch meetups use suitable public venues around Sydney CBD. Confirmed members receive the exact venue, arrival guidance and booking details at the appropriate time.
What does a coupon cover?
Unless a coupon explicitly says otherwise, it discounts only KeenOut’s platform and coordination fee. Food, drinks, transport, tickets, activity admission and venue purchases are still paid separately.
What if I need to cancel?
Cancel as early as you can so KeenOut can look for a compatible replacement. Refunds, credits and free-meetup restoration follow the cancellation policy shown for your meetup.
What is a Community Event?
Community Events are public events created and run by independent organisers. They stay separate from KeenOut’s small-group matching and coordination fee. Free events use free RSVP; ticketed events send you to the organiser’s genuine external provider.
Is KeenOut a dating app?
No. KeenOut is a social product for meeting people through shared plans. You can optionally say you’re open to meeting someone, but dating never has to be part of your experience.
What safety tools are available?
Meetups happen in public places. You can block or report concerns in the product, contact support, and leave any situation that feels uncomfortable.
