Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18, provide accurate information, keep your account secure and use only your own Google-authenticated account. V1 has no email/password signup. Google connection is not identity verification.
What KeenOut provides
KeenOut coordinates social matching, group-quality assessment, payment status, notifications and meetup logistics. We prioritise fewer viable groups over more mediocre groups. We do not guarantee a group, attendance, friendship, romance, compatibility or a particular outcome. Venues and participants are independent third parties.
Fees and launch offer
Joining a matching pool is free. While enabled for your market and city, one eligible quality-approved first meetup is A$0; future confirmed meetups are A$5 per person. Friend-pair eligibility is individual. There is no subscription. Food, drinks, transport, tickets and venue bills are separate.
Promotion eligibility and misuse
Eligibility is determined server-side using account, entitlement and proportionate anti-abuse signals. Browsing, pool entry, waitlisting, weak proposals and events that do not form do not consume the offer. Multiple-account, invitation, cancellation or claim misuse may remove promotional eligibility. A neutral verification step or the standard A$5 option may remain available. KeenOut does not disclose internal security rules or scores.
Conduct and content
Follow the Community Guidelines and law. You remain responsible for messages and other content you submit. You grant KeenOut the limited rights needed to store, moderate and display that content for the service.
Cancellation, suspension and termination
Refunds and free-entitlement restoration follow the current Cancellation & Refund Policy. Late cancellation and no-show normally leave the promotion consumed. Repeated no-shows, abuse, fraud or operational harm may lead to proportionate temporary restrictions or reviewed suspension.
Risk and liability
Meeting people carries inherent risk. Use judgement and follow safety guidance. To the extent permitted by Australian law, KeenOut is not liable for indirect loss or third-party conduct. Nothing excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable Australian Consumer Law guarantees.
Changes and contact
We may update the service and these terms prospectively. Material changes will be communicated where appropriate. Contact legal@keenout.com.
Coupons and promotion codes
Coupon eligibility, dates, limits, locations, experiences and stacking are controlled server-side. Coupons normally apply only to KeenOut fees. Promotional misuse may remove eligibility. Third-party purchases remain payable unless a specific offer explicitly says otherwise.
Attendance confirmation and reliability
Confirmed participants may receive a same-day final attendance request with a displayed deadline. You can confirm, cancel, check in or say you are running late without contacting support. KeenOut uses private, proportionate reliability signals such as attendance, timely confirmation, early cancellation, repeated missed prompts and no-shows. One ordinary mistake does not cause a permanent ban. Repeated recent no-shows may limit promotions, require stronger confirmation or temporarily pause bookings with an end date.
Standby replacements
When a place opens, KeenOut may offer it to an opted-in compatible standby participant for a limited time. Replacement remains subject to group-quality, timing, eligibility and payment checks. Standby participation itself is free and KeenOut does not deliberately overbook groups.
Community Events and independent organisers
Community Events are different from KeenOut Experiences: they are created and run by independent organisers and do not use KeenOut’s small-group matcher. KeenOut provides discovery, listing, saving and the RSVP or external-ticket link features shown. Unless explicitly stated, KeenOut has not inspected, produced or endorsed an event. Organisers remain responsible for accurate descriptions, dates, venues, prices, cancellations, conduct, permits, licences and legal compliance.
External tickets
External-ticket purchases take place with the named organiser or ticket provider. KeenOut does not receive card details, process the purchase, guarantee admission or control external refunds. Organisers must use truthful pricing and ticket information and must not misrepresent sponsorship or availability.
Free organiser launch
Organiser accounts, normal listings, free RSVPs and external ticket links are A$0 during launch. KeenOut Pro, paid promotion and native ticketing are disabled unless genuine configuration, billing and marketplace-payment systems are enabled later.
